Brian Hurley, MD, MBA, DFASAM, FAPA is an addiction physician and Medical Director Director of Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's Bureau of Substance Abuse Prevention and Control. He is a Volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor of Addiction Medicine at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine Department of Family Medicine. He is President of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Brian provides technical assistance in the delivery of Medications for Addiction Treatment to community health centers, clinical programs, and agencies across the United States. He has also led numerous grant funded projects expanding addiction medication access funded by the Sierra Health Foundation focused on programs operating across Los Angeles County and is the program lead for LA County’s Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration’s first Harm Reduction grant award and the Centers for Disease Control Overdose to Action Local grant award to Los Angeles County's Department of Public Health. Additionally, he is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, and provides training in Motivational Interviewing across the United States. Brian completed the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
